Ben Logan lost to Greenon 34-23. The Raiders were lead offensively by Collin Stewart with 5 and 3 points by Mason Hammer, Nate Shaw and Noah Wilcoxon. The raiders were lead by Wilcoxon and Stewart with 5 rebounds each.

The 8th grade boys played Mad River and suffered the first loss of the season. The boys were led by Collin Stewart and Kaiden Whitrock with 6 points each and Bryce Loomis lead with 4 rebounds. The boys are back in action Wednesday at Ridgemont.

On Wednesday night the Ben Logan boys 8th grade basketball team traveled to Kenton Ridge High School and defeated Tipp City 40-26 in the CBC championship game.

 

Bryce Schmidt and Cole Jones both scored 10 points to lead all scorers, Nolan Robson added 9 points and 8 assists while Zach Deardorff had 5 points and Dalton Rockhold and Garret Dixon both finished with 3 points each.

 

It was another stellar team effort on defense that put the game away only allowing Tipp City to score 3 points in the second qtr and 5 points in the third qtr.  The tough defense and a consistent offense allowed the Raiders to pull ahead by a score of 33-16 at the end of the third qtr.

 

The Raiders finished the season playing their best basketball of the year by running off six straight victories by an average margin of victory of 12 points.  They finish the season 14-4 and finish their 2 year middle school careers with an overall record of 29 wins - 6 losses (21-3 against CBC teams).

The Ben Logan 8th grade boys went on the road and defeated Tecumseh 41- 40 to earn a spot in the CBC Championship game Wednesday night at Kenton Ridge High School.   Bryce Schmidt lead the offense with 21 points including a key free throw with four seconds left that put the Raiders up by one, Cole Jones finished with 8 points.  The team defense came alive in the fourth quarter and only gave up one basket which allowed the Raiders to erase a nine point 4th quarter deficit.  With this victory the Raiders are now 13-4 and have won 5 in a row.

Nolan Robson scored a season high 24 points and a great team defense held Graham scoreless in the 3rd quarter and to only 8 total second half points to seal the victory.  The 8th grade Raiders are now 12-4 and play in the semi final game Thursday.

The Ben Logan 8th grade boys defeated Tipp City 36-21 Tuesday night.  The defense was an all out team effort  holding the number 2 seed in next weeks league tournament to only 12 points through the first three quarters.  Nine players scored for the Raiders led by Nolan Robson with 11, Bryce Schmidt followed with 6 and Zach Deardorff with 5.  The Raiders finish the regular season 11-4 and 9-2 in league play.  The boys play next at home Tuesday 2/17 at 530pm against the winner of Indian Lake and Graham.

Ben Logan defeated Graham 41-29 in 8th grade boys basketball.  Nolan Robson led all scorers with 11 points while Bryce Schmidt and Cole Jones each had 7 points.  The Raiders are now 7-3 overall and 5-1 in league play.

The Ben Logan 8th grade boys defeated Ridgemont 54-16.  Cole Bibart led the scoring with 11 points while Cole Jones added 10 points.  Ben Logan is now 6-3 and 4-1 in league play.

The 8th grade Ben Logan boys basketball team defeated Jackson Center 41-25.  Leading the way was Bryce Schmidt with 10 points, Jacob Geboy with 8 and Zach Deardorff and Nolan Robson with 6 each.

8th grade boys defeated Springfield Shawnee 50-33. Jacob Geboy led all scorers with 13 points, Cole Jones had 12 points and Bryce Schmidt finished with 10 points.  The Raiders are now 3-1 in league play

The 8th grade boys were defeated by USV 33-29.  Leading the way for Ben Logan was Cole Jones with 15 points and Nolan Robson followed with 6.  The Raiders play at Springfield Shawnee Thursday night.

8th grade boys defeated Northwestern 49-33.  Nolan Robson led the way with 15 points, Cole Jones added 14 and Dalton Rockhold finished with 5.   Garret Allen hit a key three pointer late in the second qtr to swing momentum to the Raiders.
